ABOUT US
Hello, there! Let me introduce our small team: I am Zoltán, my wife is Bori and our black antisocial cat is Mizu. We live in Hungary. This is our first game! It’s a passion project for us! Aleksandra joined us as an illustrator and creative from Russia. Her work was also love at first sight for us! Without her, Deep of Mine would not be what it is!
How was Deep of Mine born? For the most part, I can be blamed for it 🙂 – because I had a very deep depression period in 2020, when I got close enough to things I shouldn’t have. Luckily, I came out of my own little pit, but that period left a lasting mark on me. We thought, if there were already so many negative thoughts accumulating in me, plus some self-loathing, self-blame, and similar good stuff, I shouldn’t keep them to myself, I should rather offer them to the whole wide world. [EVIL LAUGH] Well, I’m not so evil, really, I think I’m just creative. 🙂
Since my wife and I really like to play board games together (Betrayal at House on the Hill, Takenoko, Parks, Pandemic Legacy, T.I.M.E Stories, etc), why not transform the huge emptiness in me into real cards? But let’s compensate the negative tone with cute forest animals – why not, right? -, let the game be joyful and fun, even if we sometimes want to express serious thoughts through it.
So this is (kind of) how Deep of Mine was born.
